  Comus Property LLC, purveyors of Comus Stone, offers a range of stone products for architectural, horticultural, and landscape use. We offer dolomitic limestone boulders, aggregates and veneer,

  as well as crushed shale (stone dust) bedding stone for patios and walkways, shale slabs, steppers and pavers, and expanded shale for soil amendment and green-roof applications. We can

  custom cut our limestone and shale products to suit your individual project requirements.

  Comus offers locally-quarried, Maryland, dolomitic limestone, a reclaimed by-product of the cement industry, presently placed in mining waste piles. By reclaiming this material, no additional mining

  is required to produce the finished product, creating less overall environmental impact. Because our stone is a waste product of another industrial process, our stone is considered a pre-consumer

  recycled material, and may provide LEED credits for building construction. Along with our landscaping stone, Comus can provide custom-cut limestone veneer for your building or hardscaping

  project.

  Limestone provides many benefits with its use. Natural Limestone is a very dense, durable material.  It is a sustainable product in that it is very low-maintenance, and will provide an

  extremely long-lived structure which will ultimately not need to be replaced as soon as those constructed of other materials.

  In addition to our natural stone products, we also offer an expanded shale lightweight aggregate—also a by-product of the cement industry. As a soil amendment, the expanded shale product offers

  superior water retention and aeration characteristics, as well as light weight for green roof applications.
